Wanting More Out of Life

Have you ever thought to yourself, that there has to be more to life than going to school, getting a degree, and working at the same type of job up until retirement?

Have you finished school, received a degree for something you thought you would have loved, and once you started working in that field realized that it isn’t all you thought it would be?

Would it be nice to be able to have a little extra income to pay cash for Christmas this year, to not put your kids birthday party on the credit card, or be able to pay off your car a little bit early?

Do you have personal fitness and nutrition goals that you have been wanting to accomplish, but they somehow always get pushed to the side?

Me personally, I can say yes to all of these things…. But I can also say that I have found the solution to them as well. I decided to make a change a year ago, this change has given me self confidence, that I have never had before, it has given me courage to put myself out there and be ok with rejection, it has given me hope that there is something I am truly passionate about and that I can make that my full time reality, and has given me the financial ability to make extra payments on my car, to pay off a credit card, and to buy things for my daughters birthday this year with cash rather than adding it to the debt I already have.

I love the community of positive and uplifting people I have met and been introduced to through out this journey. In a world that is full of negative people who never have anything nice to say, always looking to tear someone down just because, it is reassuring to know that its ok because you now have a family of like minded people that are there and have your back, they are there to support you, pick you up when you’re feeling down, get on you when you start slacking off, and remind you why you started this journey when you are feeling a little down.

If you love living a healthy lifestyle, if you are interested in nutrition, want to strive to always do your best, and be the best version of yourself possible, be a part of a positive and uplifting group of women, and would like to earn an income by doing all of these things, fill out this application and I will show you the way, along with many of the other top leaders on our team.

Accountability

Are you the type of person that needs someone constantly telling you what to do so you do it?

Do you need help staying motivated and accountable to your health and fitness goals?

Do you just want to maintain your body and learn how to eat healthier?

Do you want to lose weight but don’t know where to start?

Do you enjoy working out with others?

I am a person who needed all of these things when I started and I still do rely on them everyday.  This picture on the left was from 2012 when I first started these programs and had no clue what I was doing at the gym and pretty much lived off of pizza, raviolis, and subway.  The picture on the right is 5 years later and after having Haley, being supported by my team every step of the way to be a better version of who I was yesterday.

I have been through many stages in my life, from not having a plan and not knowing how to fuel my body with what it needs, to finally figuring it out and rocking it, then getting pregnant and promising myself that I would stay on track with my nutrition and workouts, and now almost 2 years postpartum and starting a brand new program that I am committing to 100%.

My journey so far…..

This photo was taken right after I found out I was pregnant. At that time I was in the best shape I had ever been.  I was in the middle of hammer and chisel one of my favorite programs still until this day.  I was feeling great inside and out.

These were taken 8.5 months pregnant. While pregnant I did workout 4-6 days a week and did my best to fuel my body with whole and nutritious foods.  I did not use my pregnancy as an excuse to allow myself to eat uncontrollably as I felt at this time is when I needed to eat the best I could, due to growing a human.  Over the 9 months I gained 27 pounds.

These were taken 6 weeks after having Haley and being cleared to start working out again.  I weighed 152 which was 9 pounds more than my pre-pregnancy weight.

After a round of hammer and chisel and body beast and 18 months postpartum, I was below my pre-pregnancy weight and feeling stronger, more confident, and had the energy I needed to keep up with Haley.

Now I am starting a new program that just came out, LIIFT 4 it is working out heavy for 4 days, with 3 days off to recover.  This is the first program that I decided to go through and follow the program/nutrition plan 100%.  Stay tuned for updates over the next 8 weeks!

There is something about when you are able to be part of something much bigger than yourself.  When you realize that taking care of yourself is not an option, but  a requirement.  When you meet some of your best friends who are on this journey with you and are there to support you every step of the way.  You can be a part of this with us, you just have to decide you are ready to make that promise to yourself that you are ready for more, ready for change, and ready to be better than you were yesterday.  Fill out this form to join my next Accountability group, and I will get in contact with you within 48 hours.  We have one starting the second Monday of every month!! Hope to start crushing some goals with you in the next one!

Day 9: Total Body Core

Today I was a day behind as this workout was scheduled for yesterday, but it just didn’t happen.  So I had a list of things to do today that had to get accomplished and writing this blog post is the last thing on that list.  I used today to meal prep everything I need for the rest of the week, cleaned up the house, ordered a few things from the grocery store that I need for the rest of this week (if you have never ordered groceries before, you should it saves so much time and is super convenient), and also got in this workout!

I am using tracker sheets for this program that I write in what color band and the size weights that I am using for each exercise.  So I was able to look back at day one and see what I used, which made it easier to challenge myself more today. I increased the weights and band resistance with all exercises except for 2 (thank God I have my recover to take after these workouts).  It felt so good knowing that I challenged myself and was able to give this workout my all.

I checked in with my team today and told them my struggles for the past two days and how if it weren’t for them I would have probably given up, which is what I have done in the past.  But knowing that they are there for me and if I am not checking in, they will check in on me has really pushed me through these tough times.  Two days of a hiccup does not mean I should throw in the towel, it means I have 72 more days to push through and give the program everything I have.

For the remainder of this program when my alarm goes off at 3:50am I will be up, I will not press the snooze, and I will get my workout done in the morning.  The only reason I would not get in an early workout, is if Haley was for some reason awake at that time.  And if that happens I will get in the workout at some other time through out the day, but it will get done!

So as for tomorrow, I have everything prepped and portioned out, I have my workout clothes laid out, my Shakeology made and in the fridge, and everything ready to grab and go to work, so that I am not running around trying to get things ready.  Everything is in place and ready to go in the morning for Booty Day!

Day 8: Total Body Core

Today my alarm went off at 3:50, and I picked up my phone shut off the alarm because I was up pretty much all night with Haley.  She still was having a rough time sleeping and was up around 1 until about 3:30.  So I decided to sleep and told myself I would workout later at night after work.  Haley woke up again around 4:15, and we went downstairs and laid on the couch together, only to fall asleep, and wake up to see the clock say 7:30, when we are supposed to be out the door by 8 to leave for daycare and work….. Days like this are the worst when Haley has such a rough night, and I try so hard to get her to sleep and then when she actually does sleep, I have to wake her up and strap her in the car for a 45 minute drive….

So I took Haley to daycare and I went to work. When I picked her up we had to run two errands before going home, and we ended up getting home around 6:20.  We both then had dinner, by that time it was around 8:00 pm.  Haley needed a bath, and then I tried laying her down around 9…. She was not having it and came downstairs for another 45 minutes until she went back to bed.  Then the Good Doctor was on from 10-11, and I thought about going downstairs at 11 to get in my workout, but was exhausted and didn’t feel like I could do it, so I told myself to just go to bed and do it tomorrow.

Day 7: Rest Day

Today was a rest day, however I did really plan on getting a lot of meal prep done super early in the morning or late at night when Haley was sleeping as I had a date day planned with my hubby….. Well ya…. Haley has been a little bear since getting her 15 month shots at her appointment 2 days ago, and has been having really rough nights and just not getting sleep, and then freaking out and throwing tantrums when awake… So needless to say meal prep on Sunday was impossible.

I did however have a few things that I made last week frozen, so I sat them out to defrost and would have those to help me stay on track for the most part for the beginning of the week.  That is why it is sooo nice to make a few things that you can freeze when meal prepping, so that when times like this arise, you won’t be completely thrown for a loop with absolutely nothing.

Also during my date out today, I did not stay on track with my meal plan.  I went to Fat Heads to eat before seeing a show downtown. I think the name of the restaurant speaks for itself…. Delicious food, just not plan approved.
