Stop giving up on yourself!

Yesterday I started a new workout program, it is 100 workouts, and I am following a 60 day Calendar to finish in time for our Florida vacation!  Yes I’ve completed programs before…. Yes I have seen lots of progress…. But the last year had so much going on and my emotional and binge eating got the best of me…. So instead of fighting those emotions and feelings with workouts and healthier options, I would drink bottles of wine and eat lots of pizza and chips with cheese and hot sauce (my total downfall of a snack)….

Needless to say I ended up weighing only 12 pounds less than what I weighed when I was 9 months pregnant…. Meaning I put on about 23 pounds in one year….. My clothes don’t fit. I wear leggings gym clothes and dresses because my cute summer shorts are too uncomfortable. I am tired of feeling sluggish when playing with Haley. Tired of being out of breath going up the stairs.  Tired of feeling awful in my skin and when I look in the mirror.

So yes I have done programs in the past, some I succeeded with and some I have failed… But I have never been this off track in a LONG time. That stopped when I started this program! I have a plan, I have a goal, and I have a reasoning behind why I want to reach that goal.  My goal is to finish these 100 workouts, follow the 60 day calendar, and follow the nutrition plan with one treat a week! I will reach these goals because I refuse to give up on myself. I want to feel comfortable in my skin, I want to wear my clothes (not just the stretchy ones), I want to be able to run all around this neighborhood with Haley and tire her out until bed time.  I most of all don’t want Haley growing up seeing her Mom set goals and failing because she gave up when times got a little tough. I want her to grow up seeing that I am active and give myself self love instead of talking down about how uncomfortable and fat I feel.  I want her to know she needs to take care of her body, to love the skin she’s in, and to know that with hard work and drive she can accomplish anything.

These 100 workouts may not be perfect, but you better damn well know that I am not giving up! I will reach my goal, and make awesome progress over these next 60 days!  I am committed to sharing my journey with you each week, to check in with how the whole journey is going, life, workouts, and nutrition. My before pictures and measurements are taken! 4 workouts down 96 to go!FullSizeRender

Fuel Your Soul

One thing I have learned on this journey is that your mind is a very powerful thing.  No matter what you do in life, it doesn’t matter if you started your journey yesterday or 5 years ago, no matter what your goals, you will hit highs and lows.  There will be days when you wake up, kick ass and cross everything off of your to do lists like a boss. Then there will be days you have to drag yourself out of bed in the morning and when every possible negative thought and doubt will try to creep in and make you think your goal is too big.

In a world where doing something different is sometimes frowned upon, it can be easy to feel defeated and discouraged. This is why it is necessary to fuel your mind and soul with positive vibes, meditation, positive readings, and affirmations.  Some people hear this and think, “I am not doing that, that is for people that have something wrong with them, or that are just looking for self pity.”

This couldn’t be farther from the truth! By fueling your mind you build an unbreakable confidence, courage, and grow into the amazing person you know you are meant to be. I don’t always have a lot of time to read, but I will listen to podcasts and audiobooks daily, while in the car, getting ready for the day, or cleaning.  Taking a little bit of time each day to fuel your soul goes a long way.  There are books, podcasts, and audiobooks out there on any and every topic you can think of, areas that you struggle with, or would like to become better at.  You just have to decide to start and once you do, you will be hooked.  If you need any recommendations don’t hesitate to reach out. ❤

Earn What You Deserve

In America, many of us are still living paycheck to paycheck even after going to school and getting a degree in an amazing field of study. After graduating college, many of us are at an age when we really want to start living our lives. We may buy a house, purchase a car, get married, or start a family.

….. all of those exciting things that you’ve looked forward to are finally happening, and then those dreaded school loans kick in.

At a time when we feel our lives are truly just beginning we struggle the most, are feeling stressed and overwhelmed, and at times depressed. Because even after doing what everyone told you was the right path, of going to school and graduating with a college degree you find yourself broken. Many of us are working 2-3 jobs and are still just getting by.

All through school I worked as a waitress where I made 2.83+tips, some nights were good when I’d leave with a little over a hundred dollars, and then there were nights when I’d leave with less than 20 dollars, and then get a paycheck for about 14 dollars.  In Pennsylvania where I live, minimum wage is 7.25 an hour. I don’t care what stage of life you are in, that does not equal a great quality of life. It leaves you overworked and underpaid.

I made a decision a year ago to help other women reach their health and fitness goals, and to show them what they are truly capable. I am able to do this on my own time, in little pockets of time and whenever I have access to my phone. By me helping just one person get started towards reaching their goals and empowering them to realize their potential, I am able to earn what someone who works a minimum wage makes in 7 hours.

This does not require me to commute to and from an office, putting Haley in daycare any extra, or work myself overtime just to be getting by.  This opportunity is real, and I am not ever going to leave.  We are continuing to grow as a team and I want to show you that you are more than capable of this too.  If you are tired of running the hamster wheel every week, and you are TRULY ready to get the most out of your life, and empower others to do the same, then the BEST time is NOW.  Don’t wait until you have more time (because you never have more time).  Don’t wait until you are at your “goal weight”.  YOU have a story unlike anyone else and you have the ability to change someones life for the better just for being you!

This woman right here has totally amazed me with her progress over these last couple months.  Her determination to change and battle different health issues that can make it difficult to lose weight, has totally paid off!  She has officially lost the 30 pounds that was her original goal.  She recently joined the business side of the team and has been totally ROCKING it!!! She has gone out of the gates strong and there is nothing holding her back!

This woman right here is one of the most amazing women that I have met, she has drive, determination, and loves a challenge! She is a mom to a toddler that will be 2 in one month, she is planning that birthday party, she works another job, decided this year to train for the beachbody classic, and is totally KILLING it!!! She has been inspiring so many people on her journey and has dove all into this business because she has seen what it has already done for her and just can’t help but share it with others!

That is what this is all about, the progress that each of us has made, we have transformed not only physically, but are also so much more confident and mentally strong, that we just cannot contain it.  There is nothing better than being confident in yourself, knowing that you are being your best you, and there is nothing that can bring you down.  So being able to share this experience and mindset with other women is amazing!!!

I am accepting applications to join our September test group, with women who want to crush their goals and want to EARN that raise YOU DESERVE, while we crush our goals together!!  Fill out this application!

Organized Chaos

I have always been a person who liked organization,  I like structure, I need to have a plan, and if I didn’t I would kinda go crazy.  I have a calendar I keep with me at all times to know what needs done, paid, and scheduled, I have alarms and reminders set on my phone for things, and just need it to be this way to keep me sane….

Well then came motherhood….. Having a baby that did not know that sleep was a thing and just felt like crying, and crying, and  crying…. Did I mention Crying????

So here I am this person who likes organization, and I am running on very little sleep, doing nonstop laundry, washing never ending dishes, haven’t showered in 2 days, still in my pajamas at 3:00 in the afternoon, couldn’t remember if I brushed my teeth that morning, thinking what in the world we should have for dinner that would be considered somewhat nutritious and acceptable, all while just doing whatever it took to keep this little crazy girl happy and not crying.

I was a hot mess to say the least, I was overwhelmed, stressed, feeling defeated at times, I’d cry just because, I felt like it.  Not knowing if I was doing a good job at being a good mom, or if I should be doing better…

This is when I became a list person. I needed some type of structure in my life to feel I was accomplishing something during the day all while being somewhat organized.   I started off writing everything on a list, dishes, laundry, eating lunch ( half the time I ended up forgetting to), cleaning cat litter, getting the mail, watering the flowers, getting a shower.   Anything I wanted to get done that day went on the list, down to the smallest things like feeding the cats. It gave me a sense of accomplishment and organization that I needed in my life. There is something about crossing things off of a to do list that just makes you feel a little better. That’s why if something wasn’t on my list that day but I did it, I would add it on just to cross it off. Lol

I still make lists for the day, week, month on things that need to get accomplished and also other things that would be nice to get done if I am able. This has helped me so much it saves me from wasting time thinking about what needs done because I have it in front of me, and helps relieve stress knowing that it is ok if some things get pushed over to the next day, life will go on. So early in the morning, during nap time, late at night I can look at my list and say this is what I did, this is what still needs done, and this is what I need to do. It helps you become more intentional with your time, it keeps you focused, and really does help you get more done.

I challenge you for one week to make a daily and weekly list, write down everything that you want to get done, no matter how small the task.  The time that you take to sit down and write out these lists will still end up saving you so much more time during the week ahead since you will know exactly what needs done, and you will get more accomplished.   Make sure to comment below and let me know if this helped you at all, or if you feel this is something you need to start implementing in your daily life.

Summer Shred

You say you don’t have time….

…..but you sit down and binge 5 episodes on Netflix, or you sit scrolling your news feed and emails every 5 minutes because you just HAVE TO KNOW everyone’s business.

You don’t have the money….

…. but you’ll go buy a new outfit for your kids that they don’t need, you order dinner out a couple times a month, or you go buy a puppy or a kitty.

It all comes down to if you really want it. If you really want to make a change to lose that 30 pounds, to change the way you eat, to start working out, you will make the time and find the money.

You can wake up a little earlier, go to bed a little later, get something done while your kids take a nap, watch a movie, or read a book. You can cut back on eating out, stopping for coffee, or stop smoking.

If you struggle with time to yourself, or if you want to start a new fitness program and are short on finances, I want you to write down for 1 week, everything you do from the time you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night, no matter how small the task. I want you to write down everything you spend money on every single day, down to the penny, including the candy bar you get out of the snack machine.

After that week, we will talk and I will show you where you can find the time, or possibly cut back to afford to get started.

It all comes down to how bad you want it, and how much you really want to change. If you are ready, and want to make that commitment to yourself to live your healthiest life, to the fullest way possible, then the time is now! We start Monday August 13, and are going to finish this summer strong with a 30 day, Summer Shred”. If you are in and ready to make a change, fill out this application and I will be in touch with in 24 hours to get you set up and ready to reach those goals!!!
